Hi everyone,
Need a bit of advice!
I am currently 39+4 weeks pregnant. My pregnancy has been absolutely fine all the way through however a couple of days ago at my MW appointment, my BP was high and traces of protein in my urine. After blood tests etc...the doctors said its best to induce me using a pessary? Tampon like thing being inserted to your cervix.
So I had that placed in at 3pm yesterday. Today since 10am ive been having contractions every 7minutes and felt like they were getting stronger. When the midwife examined me at 3pm today (24 hours later) she said that my cervix hadn't dilated at all and was sof . She said the doctors will come and examine me at 9pm (30hours post insertion) has anyone had any experience of having the pessary inserted and then magically dilating in 6 hours? I've been walking around the hospital, I've been bouncing on a ball! Will the doctors do anything else because of the high blood pressure instead of the '24 rest period)
Sorry its so long!!
