...I have only ever seen one other mummy breastfeeding in public, then I see three in a week

Seems to be catching on a little more over here...or....maybe I'm just a trendsetter... 8) 8) 8)

Does anyone else get this urge, when you see a bf mum, to go over and say "Hey! Well done! I'm doing that too!"

They'd think I was mental :D

I dont think I would be brave enough to say anything to someone else but I wouldnt mind if someone came up to me and was nice when we are feeding in public :D

You Never see it here. Boston is so dependant on formula that the hospital is trying so hard to encourage breastfeeding. That's probably why i get so many funny looks when i'm out with her and have to feed. Town isn't exactly breastfeeding friendly either. My HV did this this with a couple of other breastfeeders where they go to random places to see how they react. I think only one place was ok with it. I do it wherever though. Even the places that don't like it.

I've seen it a few times here.... about 3 times.. I stare.. they must think I'm a freak... :rotfl: But I don't go up to them because its so cosmopolitan here you have no idea what language they speak...

I have had an old lady come up to me in the doctors and congratulate me on bfing as she had done so with all her four kids, even though she was told she was hurting them... :rotfl: :rotfl: She said its amazing how things had changed and she always knew she was right..

the area where I live has one of the lowest breastfeeding rates in the UK so it is a rarity indeed. I only see other mums breastfeeding if I go to babycafe.

I too have had old ladies come up to me and tell me its good to see a mummy boobyfeeding, and even an old man who told me to be loud and proud - I have no idea how he meant for me to be this whilst feeding lol

The area where I live is called pramstead and rightly so!!! There are plenty of babies about and many women seem to breastfeed too (on the heath, coffee shops, benches)

Ive never seen another woman bf here apart from at clinic/bf support... never really thought about it until i read this post x
