Clary Sage oil for helping things along!! Anyone tried with success?

Im going to make up a massage oil mix - clary sage and sweet almond and going to start massaging it in once a day and a couple straight drops in a bath once a day.

Im on the RLT, but only managing one cup a day for the last 4 days as its gross! :( Im mostly hoping that this help for putting everything back quicker after birth.
Also taking 1000mg EPO each day (only orally) - this is also meant to be good to help heal the skin down there after birth.

I'm also going to make up a black pepper and frankincense mix for massage during beg labour at home as this is mean to help with the pain....

Has anyone tried this before?
xx

I was goin to try clary sage but it says on the box not to use it during pregnancy without consulting a doc, so I didn't risk it x

Tapatalking from my blackberry!

I used clary sage in my bath and got hubby to give me a back massage with it once I was over 37 weeks. I checked with my midwife first.

Evening primrose oil is fantastic and it increases the elasticity down below so less chance of tearing x

There are certain contraindications you know to using certain oils hun, I know clary sage shouldn't be used for anyone who's ever had female cancers / pre cancerous cells. Not sure what the other contraindications are for it as it's a good 4 years or so since I did aromatherapy but just check before using any oils hun xxx

Thanks ladies, I havent studies aromatherapy but do co-own a health and beauty business and have an employee who is highly trained in aromatherapy and has ok'd the use of clary sage at this stage although it is a big no no before 38 weeks. But i was wondering more so if it actually worked for anyone? Ive only started to use it today so will see how it goes, i will update if it does help anything along.
I have been getting period type cramps for the last few days (mostly at night) and heavy feeling down below some days, also lower back aches, also had tightenings across my tummy the other day that were a little sore for the first time....so that's why im doing these things now, as im hoping its signs of things starting... otherwise i'd probably wait longer.
xxx

I've just dug out my Evening Primrose Oil capsules - they are high dose though - 1000mg!

I wonder if they are OK?

xxxxx

I've got a diary when I was taking mine - let me see x

I have evening primrose oil but says do not take during pregnancy?

Ugh I have tried I all :( and look...I'm still preggers :-? Grrrrr come on baby!

I swear I'm going to look like a pineapple soon too. I have eaten the much.

I even use my breast pump...which is weird.

But I'm willing to do anything..apart from sex, husband away :( and I have heard it is the best thing it help it along.

Apparently clitoral and nipple stimulation can help Hun, and you can do that ;) xx

Evening primrose isn't an over night fix it takes time also what worked for me was 3 b's recommended by mw

Bath
Balti
Bonk

In that order and I went into labour that night

I used clary sage oil mixed with aqueous cream rubbed into bump the night before and I started labour the next day, I mentioned it to a friend and she did the same and it worked as well.

T be honest baby will come when ready :) but I like to think it worked x x
