OH is off to a works conference for three days. Dinner jacket, awards ceremonies the works. Reminds me of when i used to have a career (a bloody good one too)

Now all I do is watch daytime TV and care for a person so small he doesn't even know who I am yet.

I hate being a SAHM, which makes me feel guilty! I miss work

Yes, like you after xmas. And I can't wait! I love Stanley of course, but crave adult conversation and a reason to get out of the house (without packing a pushchair and bag for half an hour! )

I am looking forward to going back to work as well. I would love to go to our work Christmas lunch but not sure I can. I don't have anybody who could look after Ellie plus it is over 1hr drive to where the lunch is (it is close to a different site to one I primarily work at) and if last year was anything to go by it will be around 2hrs long. I could take her with me but I would almost certainly need to feed her there.

I'm sorry you have no-one to watch her for a few hours, I know I'm lucky in that respect having family nearby.

What would be the problem with feeding her there? If you're BF (or even bottle) any decent venue should have a suitable place for you and the LO to get comfy for a bit.

I'd be more worried about a load of drunken colleagues! (unless it's alcohol free because it's in the day?)
