im oversized lol!

went to the midwives today.we had a looooong chat about what the consultant had said about baby being big for his dates.he was scanned at 31 weeks and they thought he weighed 4 and a half pounds then! today the midwife measured my fundal height and at 34 weeks + my bump measured 42 cms so its official my bump is overdue even if im not im back at the consultants next thursday for yet another appt.they are still talking of starting me early and i dont think id disagree with them either.my bump gets in the way now and its soo heavy but at the end of the day I will do whats best for baby of course.

Hopefully you will be able to have him a little early (providing its best for baby) because i know how fed up you are.

Thats an impressive fundal though Helen maybe you could pass me a few cm's as im still lagging behind and if i wait till im 40 cm i will still be here in the summer.

Don't bet on it babes..hate to be the bearer but my fundal is 43" its huuuuggge and i've been measuring ahead for ages, my 32 week scan baby was 6lb and they still won't do anything!!!
Have consultant appt on wednesday, was considering lowering my 43" bump to the floor and begging!!!!
I reckon we'll surprise em all and have weeny little babies...whaddya think?

Yes its bloody huge - seems to have grown loads this week. Gonna ask for another growth scan on weds, but my consultant isn't very forthcoming...he's just like " people have big babies all the time"

I am indeed a dwarf though 8) I am 61 inches small.

Thats what my midwife said to me on Wednesday that people have big babies all the time and there is nothing you can do about it I dont think they worry too much about them getting stuck now, they just send you off for a Section...I know you'd be happy with that though

The thought of a huge baby scares me a little... but then again i've heard that they can be easier to get out!

A couple of weeks ago i was at the hospital and i measured 26cm - 2 days later ot the doctors i measured 28cm! Talk about a growth spurt!

As yfor oyour measurements that is pretty impressive! Hope (if it is best for baby) that baby is here soon x x x

yes bex i remember the chats well,see told you id pop first.cant help having a niggling doubt ill go overdue though despite the midwife saying they wont let that happen.

yess bloom im very fed up,Im surprised you dont just tell me to shut up on msn cos im sure I must moan an awful lot but i really do jst feel so fed up and kind of ''out the loop'' so to speak like Im just doing everything on autopilot.

Anna i have sympathy for you I thought I had it bad but you have it too good luck with the consultants appt (or did you mean you were going today) let us know how you get on,god I hope they offer you some real help..

I intend to beg if thats what it takes when I go to see the consultant.id rather be started off than have to have a caesarian,even though the thought of pushing out a biiiiig baby makes my eyes water

I had my consultant appt yesterday...and surprise my BP was high so i was admitted again (168/110) so the first midwif e was convinced they'd induce me...but no, the consultant wanted me on medication. In the end it went down so i didn't get either...but...
had another growth scan and its estimated weight is now 8lb......aaaarrrrgggggggghhhhh
MW this afternoon so going to ask when it will get to the stage i can be induced, or if i have another 3 weeks for this baby to grow even more

stupid people eh!.i bet your consultants a man!bound to be, or he would of done something by now.

my blood pressures always been fine so thats not a worry really.my daughter was 8lb 1oz so ive already been told that they wouldnt induce me unless the estimated birthweight was over 9lb+.And also they said right from the start i wouldnt be induced before 37 weeks as its not the hospital policy except in emergency

Just got back from my mw and she said we're on b orrowed time and to prepare for an induction if i'm admitted again..
but...same may happen again!
grrrr...its the not knowing...if i had a definite date i could mentally prepare
