Just got my FSH/LH labs back from CD2. I got them on CD2 because my periods are only 2-3 days long.

My FSH was 11.6
My LH was 8.3

They say anything over 10 is low ovarian reserve and I'm almost at 12.

What can I do to fix this? Is it fixable?

I haven't done an Estrogen test yet, but I think that will be the next step I take.

I just feel heartbroken because I knew something was wrong with me. I'm getting my progesterone done at 6 DPO too, so we will see what that says. I'm trying to find out why I spot almost the entire luteal phase.

Hiya, I know how heartbreaking this news is, my FSH was 17 at age 30, I took agnus castus, had acupuncture and it reduced to 11. something. Still high but a reduction none the less.
I think its worth getting AMH done which will give better indication of reserve. Mine was 2 which is not good at all and the fertility specialist was very concerned about it. We were told not to waste time and go for IVF but were given a few months to try naturally first. We had 2 IVFs, very good response both times (11 eggs first IVF and 13 on second) and it worked both times, the first didn't result in a baby but the second did.
It feels all doom and gloom now because you will be googling like crazy and it feels impossible but it's not. There are things to try and it can still happen, you have eggs so you could get lucky.

Just to add, I took high dose vitamin D as vitamin D deficiency can cause issues with fertility. My AMH went from 2 to 4, not massive again but better.

Wishing you lots of luck xx

Thank you for your kind words. I made an appointment with a fertility specialist in June so maybe there is something they can do. If not, I guess this is it. I can’t afford IVF.

I'm sorry to hear that :( tbh I don't know much about this area, so can't offer anything helpful. Hope the FS appointment goes well.

I don't spot during my LP, but my period is only 1.5 - 2 days long. I have wondered if it's worth going to the doctor early to get some tests to see if anything is up. I hear that 2 days is fine, but I'm still concerned about the length.

alwayscoffee - I'm sorry you didn't get the news you were hoping for. Good luck with your appointment.

pupperino - my periods were only about 2 days long with a few days of spotting after. This was after I had a polyp removed. Before that I used to bleed for about 5 days. I always thought that was normal but the shorter periods were definitely how they should have been.

Oh how interesting, thanks for sharing that.

I guess it's hard to quieten that anxious voice inside, particularly after realising how hard it can be to conceive and that there may be an issue that won't be picked up after that 12 month mark of TTC. Oh well, shall wait and see!

Thanks, I hope it goes well too!

It never hurts to ask a professional. It might ease your mind. How long is your cycle normally?
