If You Could Go Back...

Well, I'm getting LOADS of "me" time! But not as much as you lot are advising!

I get up at 8:30 so I can sit with my Mum having a tea for a bit before she leaves for work (I feel sooo guilty that she's now the only one working, and feel sorry for her sitting on her own downstairs before work :( ) and then I don't nap because I'm wide awake by that time...

I might start trying to kip during the day and start filling my baths with LOADS of bubble bath and staying in for a bit longer & enjoying it!

Also, I painted my toenails tonight (Don't ask how I did it! I had to sit at a REALLY wierd angle to do it properly lol)

Erm... Oh and badgergirl, I'm getting the texts but not replying lol. I feel bad, but I'm not at my due date yet and not many people realise that most 1st babies go overdue

Thanks ladies!! I really must start enjoying what I'm doing (or what I'm not doing which sounds more appropriate lol) :D xx

I would have gone out more!! I was too scared to incase my waters broke in public. Had I known that I was going 13 days overdue and being induced for sure 100% then I would have went out and really enjoyed myself. Also I would have went to the cinema. There were so many movies I wanted to see but didn't, again too scared I'd go into labour during it. Also I would have slept more!!

Got to be sleep and not being paranoid about leaving a room cos u dont want to miss anything that ur baby is doing!

Oh, and I would have taken a lot more bump pics :( Last one I have is 34 weeks :(

Great idea, take a pic every day until you deliver as you won't beleive you were ever that big. I took a snap the day I went in to have my DD and I'm always shocked by how big I look as I always thought I looked small.

In the couple of weeks before I had my DD i watch loads of DVD's, read books and magazines.

Having a haircut is a really good idea also as once your LO arrives you just won't have the time for a while.

Enjoy these last precious moments to yourself.

Oh I also wouldn't have ate so many curries. I was desperate to get her out in the final weeks that I ate so much curry. It just made me constipated and sick. Maybe I wasn't eating the right types of curry but never again. I think I am actually off it for good now... some good comes out of it suppose!

I was eating some Galaxy chocolate last night when Mo ate that bogey! I thought it had put me off for life!

OK, so I ate the rest this morning

I'm definitely off pineapple though :puke: I ate a whole one last week (or week before) and it was disgusting and hurt the roof of my mouth :(

I had SUCH a nice bath last night! I put LOADS of bubble bath in it and just lay there relaxing! Bliss! :D x

Not speaking from experience but everytime I speak to my sister (she had her first baby last october) she goes on at me about enjoying my baby free time especially having long relaxing baths, Im not very good at this find them borring but have had a few to ease my aches and pains just recently, also enjoying a good book she recommended. I have only just finished work and have spent the few days Ive had off so far cleaning and recovering from accident so haven't relaxed much, but ndhave my Dad, step mum and baby brother down for a week, My mum and her partner over weekend, my sister and nephew next weekend and then my friend for a couple of days the week after I intend to enjoy spending time with them all where I am the center of attention and not baby and where I cant give them my full attention, I also plan to meet up with friends who live near by to do the same. I'm making the most of not being so tired from working and taking the time to spend with DH enjoying being together and making an effort to pleasure him whilst I have lots of free time to give him, I find good sex really knackering now so we werent having it so much before I finished work but now I can just go to sleep after it is easier to find the energy! :rotfl:
When they said I might be in labour sunday I as quite worried cause don't feel ready yet really want to make the most of a little me time first as much as I can't wait to meet my baby I don't want to look back and wish I'd done this or that before baby came. I think everyones to do list before baby comes would be different as we all enjoy different things maybe if you sat down made a list of the things you really love doing or would love to do, then go through the list and cross of ones that having a baby wouldn't stop you from doing, that way you are left with a list of things to make the most of or try to do before baby comes.

Definatley relax have plenty of long bubble baths (i had one every day in the run up to Calleighs birth stayed in there till i was wrinkly  )
Enjoy a lie in. I cant imagine what a lie in feels like at all now but desperately want one
Enjoy watching your fave soaps/films etc in peace.
Master the art of eating with one hand/just a fork
If you like to read, get a good book and enjoy.
I think i would have also gone out a little more toward the end cinema/meals etc.

Enjoy the sensations of drinking a full hot cup of tea or coffee in one sitting....

Catch up on all the TV n films you want to see before baby comes...

Get a group of girlie mates together and have a laugh like only a gang of girlies can :)

Pamper yourself or get someone else to pamper you...

Read a really good book.. you might not get the chance again for a while :)

Sod the cleaning lol ;) xxxx

Agreed!!!

sleep, bathe, and clean. You will never again have a tidy house, a hot bath, or a full night's sleep!

That's all I do at the moment Xena!

I'm actually enjoying my baths and relaxation time now :D Before, I'd just do it without thinking, but now I'm really making the most of it!

I might go on Amazon and find a decent book too... Oh & I've written a little list of any last minute things I need to grab before heading off to hospital (batteries etc).

I'm also walking to the shops every day, even if just for a packet of chewing gum! And I'm enjoying the walk there and back! I know it sounds a little thing, but it's nice to get dressed and go out in the fresh air! xx

ooh yeh read a book. I never seem to find time to read these days.

i wouldnt change a thing. i took 3 weeks maternity leave before the birth and 4 weeks annual holiday before that, so i spent a lovely 7 weeks sat on my ass watching daytime tv or on PF stuffing my face with mr. freeze ice pops. i had catnaps whenever i liked, and slept in til whenever i liked. bliss! i strongly reccommend first-time mums to follow my example of spending your last 2 months of pregnancy- im telling ya youll never get self-indulgent times like that ever again!

Sleep, long lovely warm baths, nice hot dinners...... thats what I would do :D

Just enjoy being pregnant, Take loads of pictures of your bump cause you'll never have the same one again :)

Sleep in, Have relaxing baths, go to the cinema :D
