Ibuprofen

I'm in hospital 3 days after giving birth. Had to have an episiotomy and it is very sore down there.

Does anyone know why I'm only allowed ibuprofen every 8 hours instead of 4? They appear to be giving me one 400mg tablet which is the same as what I can get in the supermarket (but would be as 2x200mg tablets) and those I can take every 4 hours.

I'd try asking the midwife but they all seem to like ignoring me

I found this out - it can be 4 hours but if you divide the number of hours in the day by number of doses allowed (3) it 8 hour intervals.
