I don't know if anyone else is having this problem but its like everyone is going way to fast for me and sometimes its hard to bare, I just had my sis send me an email about pnd and my Mum said she and her hubby will be buying the cot...

OK THANKS BUT FFS IM ONLY 3 MONTHS AND IM GETTING STRESSED OUT BY IT!! :wall:

I don't know what to do please help I know they mean well and its lovely but the last thing on my mind right now is whether i will have pnd :wall: :wall:

Aww Sharne  I really do understand. My dad is already asking me how long it'll be before I let him have the kid overnight!! I mean, I'm not even at the stage where I can call LO he/she!! lol

As for pnd, we all worry that we'll fall victim to it, but don't worry hun - you're family will be there if you need them.

Maybe just say to them that you are feeling a bir overwhelmed by everything and that although you understand that they are excited and looking out for you, you need to deal with things as and when instead of worrying.

Pregnancy brings on a lot of worry anyway, the worry never ends, even when they're here!

But don't worry, they love you - they just need some gentle conversation and hopefully they'll back off a little bit.

Bless you hun, you are such a sweetie  xxx

I told my work colleagues today. I'm now completely fed up with people telling me how it will be and what I need to know

One even asked me if I knew how expensive buggies are? Er.. yes, actually i do know

Why can't people just say 'Congratulations' and leave it at that!

[/pregnancy rant]

Also  for you Sharne

All I keep getting asked by my work colleagues is when am I going back to work!

I mean, it's nice to be wanted and all that.. but I've got another 5 weeks to go before Mat leave starts even yet!!!!!!!!!

I know the feeling hun..... we've only really told both sets of parents and close friends and family at the minute and they've already had a bidding war for who's going to be buying the pram and who's buying the cot!!!!

And the most annoying thing is how everyone is full of good advice for us.......grrrr

Ive been getting that since I told my boss/FIL when I found out at 5 weeks!!!

Dont worry about other people hun just concentrate on you and baby, if other people want to stress about the other stuff let them doesn't mean you have to let them get you stressed about it or thats how im trying to think of it anyway!!
Just noticed your due the day before me! :cheer:

It sounds like your family are really excited, it's hard for them to see it from your point of view as they're not the ones experiencing the pregnancy.

Don't worry too much about PND. If you've got a good family support around you to help when you need and want it, you're chances of suffering from it will be much less I'm sure.

I didn't even get the baby blues with my son.

Hope that things settle down for you and don't get any worse as the months go by.

It sounds like they all meabn well sharne but very over excited about the baby and going to far too fast!

Just ignore them and relax as midna says.
