There's four weeks left til my due date.. Unlikely I'll make it to that date.. Had a look on calendar for something and saw 'baby due' I felt sick! It's gone so fast! I genuinely feel only 26weeks not 36weeks!! Starting to get scared about labour again (sorry first timers) Ellie was back to back and hurt like a bitch.. I promised myself an epidural for the next one if it ever happened again.. I'm scared of that too.. Just overall not feeling very confident at the moment!! Plus I'm getting no sleep right now and nothing is getting done in the house.. I'm not as prepared as I was before (girls were planned.. This one wasn't) I'm starting to realize I only have less then 4weeks being able to have things the way they are.. I've just got my days back.. Plus Ellie will be off school for a couple of days coz she's ill then it's HALF TERM!! I bet I'll go just after they go back to school!
After all the shit I've had these past few weeks I've forgotten the worries I had to start with.. Now they're creeping back.. :(
I don't feel broody when I hold my newborn nephew.. I'm worried im not going to bond with this baby or even end up resenting it..

Oh no I'm sorry you feel like this :( I don't think you will be resenting the baby, maybe you don't feel broody as you have a lot on...and it all probably seems worse if you're not sleeping. And because of all the stuff you've had on its probably made time fly causing you to feel like you have more time than you do. What is it that needs to be.done in the house? Maybe ask friends or family to come and give you a hand? Or just set yourself one task a day, then you might feel better that things are getting done but not wearing yourself out either. As for sleeping I wish I knew the answer as I can't sleep properly either :( hope things get better for you hun I really do xxx

Thanks Hun.. It's all little things really like shelving in the cupboard so we can put the crap on the kitchen side away and make room for the baby's things.. Putting a few bits in the loft, putting shower rail up (pressure one keeps falling down) taking the airbag out of my car so the baby can go in the front as there's no room in the back.. I wanted to decorate my bedroom and living room (only rooms left to be done since we moved in nearly 4 yrs ago.. Hospital bag needs to be checked over.. Baby's bedding to be washed.. Clothes are done.. Just a few little bits.. His dad is gonna do most the DIY but coz I've been so tired and Ellie is ill I've delayed it all..
If I could just be well rested I think I could handle things better!
Worrying about the school run with a newborn too :(
I'm sure once LO is in my arms I'll feel the rush of love just still hard to bond at the moment :(

As you know I was exactly the same!! There was so much we needed to do & I had just been concentrating on finishing work for mat leave & never really thought about what would happen after. I'm scared of things changing, how a baby will fit in. I think I was about 36 weeks when I started freaking out.

I thought it was really usefull to do a list and aim to do 1/2 things off the list a week, I had so much on my list that I had to do 1 thing each day. I said right, i'll spend 1 hour a day minimum while wee 1 at skl. And the list is done now!

I dont know how i'm gonna manage with the school run either i've got 40mins walk there & the same home then the same journey at home time, duno how i'll manage, do you have anyone thats offered to help out or anything?

i think u've had such a stressful time its all getting on top of you and making everything a lot more daunting. you will be fine sweety i'm sure :hugs: xx

Awe I know how you feel! I still feel like I'm playing catch up for being early. Just make sure your bag is ready, other jobs don't really matter, after all Kynon has arrived in the middle of a dusty, noisy building site and he don't care! As for bonding, I was worried about this too as I didn't feel ready etc either, but the minute he was born I fell in love and now I'm smitten, I can't put him down so I'm sure you wil feel the same. X

Oh love, you are over tired, uncomfortable and hormonal. Everything works out fine cos it has to and we adapt to the situations we find ourselves in. Baby might not be planned but the bond and love will certainly be there once he's here xxxxxxxx

Thanks everyone I'm feeling a bit better about things today, managed to finally get a good few hours sleep :cheer: unfortunately I've caught my little ones cold :( not sure how bad it's gonna get.. Hopefully not that bad!!
I've not really got many people to help out for the school runs etc.. They r there in emergency situations like when I was in hosp but other than that theres no reason to get help really.. I don't like putting people out unnecessarily :(
I'm hoping OH will be able to help out in the mornings..

Little miss can't you get free cabs to school?? Some kids at the girls school get free cabs coz they r too far to walk..

I'm worried about OH bonding with baby too as he works 24/7 I only see him the earliest 8pm in the evenings 7days a week.. He's entitled to a day off in the week and Sunday off but doesn't take it or he won't meet his targets :(

I'm sure once baby is here I won't be able to imagine life without it and forget what it was like to be able to do what I can do now.. Just don't think I'm ready just yet!!

Oh hunni only just seen this as been trying to catch up with sleep too !! I feel bit like u do bout bonding with the baby sure its just cos we already have 2 that require us so much at the min and once lo id here we will feel completely different !!!! Have u tried making a list and ticking things off as u go ? might not get everything done before lo is here but might make u fel better seeing thing getting done ?
The school run is scaring me a little bit with timing of feeds etc but im looking forward to actually being able to walk it in 5 mins not the 10 it takes at the min !!!

Im getting a cold too hoping it wont get too bad either. Hope Ellie is on the mend ?
Sure once lo is here oh will find a way of meeting targets and still being able to have the odd day off. xxxx:hugs::hugs:

Thanks babe glad I'm not the only one :)
I'm sure it will all work out.. Just gonna be hard with feeding times like u said.. Shame baby wasn't due in summer hols lol!!
Ellie is still coughing etc so kept her off for today coz she still looks tired and she's not fully adjusted to a full day of school yet.. Gonna send her in tomo :)

I've made a list a couple of weeks ago.. It's a reminder of the things that haven't been done yet lol!! Hopefully I'll sleep better tonight, do my birth plan tomo with mw and that's another thing done.. Then hopefully get a few bits done at home before half term and then spend some time with my girls over half term before baby fully occupies me.. Good having this half term in a way really if u look at it like that :)

I'm looking forward to half term so can spend time with the boys before lo gets here !! Sure we will get onto a routine pretty quick !! We will have too lol. In a few weeks we will b wondering what we were worried about !! Xxx

I hope ur right!!

Can't think of what to do with the girls.. No doubt Jaycee will get this cold by then

hope she escapes it !! dont know what to do with the boys either think i might get some craft stuff to do with them and maybe a day at the wacky !! we dont want to b going to far from home !!! might even bake a cake !! xxx

Mmmmm Betty crocker cookies are THE BEST!!!!!!
The girls love crafts.. We can finish the puppet theatre I bought from mothercare/elc actually... wicked little set for £10!

Want to take them somewhere we cant go with a baby.. But also want them to be well enough to do it.. Hoping they are!!
Maybe the zoo or a day out in London..?

sounds like a good plan I love the Zoo !! and think i will be making a trip to elc for a puppet threatre !!! might look into the zoo for us too !! just hope i can make it round there might have to use my crutches !!! xxx

It's a wicked little set.. Mister maker one.. They have a space set and an animal set :)

May look into the zoo.. :) shame London zoo was crap (they'd moved most the animals to whipsnade) could have had a day in London and the zoo lol!

oh will go elc tomorrow !!! nearest zoo to us is tyrcross. and not much else near us unless we do sealife centre in bham !! xxx

Might have a look see what's goin on in London.. Only a quick train away.. Mind u I'll be squished on the train n I don't like being touched lol!!

Glad your feeling a bit better

Does your OH get any time off for when baby is born?

I'm worried about my OH's work too, he doesn't have shifts or a 9-5 job, he is a pc engineer & goes out & fixes them as an when required basically, its good coz he can do it as & when he wants but we need to take the money when we can & he quite often gets stuck into it & stays up all night doing 16/17 hunched over a comp on the floor.

I'm worried about feeds & taking baby to school. Luckily OH has agreed that he'll watch baby in the house (stop working for an hour) while I do the skl run & he may take my wee girl to school a cpl of days but I know fine well he'll have us paying for taxis ect that we cant afford. We dont qualify for free taxis or transport coz we put in a placement request for that school. I'd rather have baby in a routine where it comes with me for skl runs & gets some fresh air, eventually it will fit in with daily routine.

:)
