As soon as she makes an appearance we are starting our first cycle. Yep, we've been accepted for treatment using my own eggs.. Starting asap. I have my prescription for my meds which I need to start as soon as I have my first scan on about day 3 of my next cycle. We are really pleased we have been given this chance, we have to be realistic of our chances but we are feeling hopeful. The doctor we saw was lovely and I'd have to travel to London quite a bit (90 minute train ride each way ) for treatment but we really really like the hospital we have chosen... I am a bit nervous having to inject myself each day...but if it means we get a BFP at the end then it's worth it!! Just trying to look into where I can get the meds from as the cheaper the better :)

That's great news, I am sure the injecting will get easier and some lovely ladies on here will probably have some tips for you and maybe about finding some cheaper meds xx

Thanks lisey. We popped into a few places today to get quotes and boots quotes us £1700!! Erm, they triples the price of the monopur as didn't have 450ius doses only 150. Hopefully get somewhere this week.

I'm so pleased Lucy! The lister has great results, if my amh comes back iffy I would consider the hassle of the travelling there for their expertise. I'll very interested in your quest for cheaper meds too! xx

Thanks scotchegg I did pop to my local Asda and the lady came up with prices about £1000 cheaper than boots. I will try and speak to a different pharmacist in the week because I'm not sure the lady quoted us exact but still waaaayy cheaper than most other places.
Dee. We are really happy with the Lister. I would recommend it just from what we experienced at our consultation. Fingers crossed for your amh results,

Wow that is a lot cheaper! Interesting...xx

there's also a thread on fertility friends forum about where to get drugs from, it's a sticky on one of the forums and it has reputable places that come out cheaper than high street pharmacies. Asda are highly rated as well though and quite convenient

I got most of my post BFP ivf meds from Asda - much cheaper and they ordered them in one day and they were delivered the next day.

(The pre transfer and pre BFP meds we go from our clinic in Greece as they were much cheaper than the UK)

xxxx
