Hi Everyone
I thought I would post this and hope it helps some of you in the same boat with the same worries. I am 10 weeks pregnant and have had cramps the whole way through. I started spotting 3 weeks ago and, in a panic, ended up in A&E, they arranged a scan 2 days later and everything looked fine (phew). The spotting stopped and started and then last Friday I bled a lot or bright red blood then it turned to a brown again. My boobs had been absolutely killing and I woke up 3 days ago with no pain at all. I was absolutely convinced it was all over. Went along for my first midwife appointment today and told her about the spotting etc and she arranged for a doctor to see me, she asked my about bleeding, cramps, boobs, nausea etc and said 'Well let's keep our finger's crossed'. Bad sign! I then had a scan completely convinced it was going to be bad news and there it was, a little beautiful one inch long baba, with a 67 beat a minute heartbeat we couldn't believe it!!! The reason for the blood is that, when the egg implants it can burst lots of little capilleries, and the blood can pool, I have 2 of these pools either side of the placenta, so the spotting will carry on until they are empty. I know it's still early days but my DH is convinced it's going nowhere until another 30 weeks. So don't give up anyone until you have been told, there was no way I thought we were getting good news, I'm now going to try and stop worrying. . . .Yeah right!! Hope this helps at least someone else xxx
