I get to be a Stay at Home Mum!!

I've known since Jess was first born that I didn't want to go back to work but was worried about money etc, last month we realised we could afford for me not to go back to work but couldn't afford to pay back the part of my maternity pay so thought I'd have to go back for a while at least.
The school are having to reorganise and make 2.9 techers redundant in September so I wrote them a letter explaining my situation and that I would love to be able to leave when my maternity leave finishes on 1st June but couldn't afford to pay the money back.
The head phoned today and said that they would be willing to make me redundant from 1st June with redundancy pay of about £1300 and I wouldn't have to pay back any of my maternity leave So I now get to be a stay at home Mum

I'm glad the naff job situation at the school worked in your favour

but yay for SAHMs!!! I've recently told my work i'm not going back wooooo

Thats really worked out well and its kept someone is a job who wouldnt have wanted to leave.
