I donated 300oz of my breast milk

On a posative note from my previous post I've become a breast milk donor and donated 300oz so far of froozen breast milk. I'm now a regular donor for my local hospital and my milk goes to help sick and prem babies. 😀

I often wondered about the lady who donated for my son, I couldn't pump and to know that someone somewhere was pumpking so that ny son could have breastmilk was amazing.

Wow 300 oz well done you, that's fantastic I started donating recently but I'm only up to about 100oz so far! I'm currently also tandem feeding my 22 month and 3.5 month old too but it feels nice to be giving something to help premie and sick babies. Just wondering how much do you express to donate each day? At the moment I am doing 3-6oz per day. You are doing a brilliant job, is lovely to know there are other donors out there

Sorry for taking over your thread! Lovinglife - have a look at http://www.ukamb.org/ You need to see whether you are near a milk bank, contact details can be found on the website. You need to have a blood test and then you are usually provided with bottles to fill Its really worthwhile They usually ask that your lo is under 6 months when you start donating - good luck
