I didn't know I was not allowed salami and i'm totally freaking out. I had it in a toasted sandwich which was hot but I did pick it up from the side. The room was not to hot and it was a proper place. Nhs says fine if piping hot and refrigerated. I don't know what to do!

Relax...it's only because of the risk of food poisoning, most sites say it's ok to eat cured meats as only a very small chance of food poisoning...it's all down to personal choice x

OK thank you. I will keep away from it for now on.

Try not to worry, I wasn't even told to avoid it this time around, also encouraged to eat nuts. I'm sure you'll be fine xx

The main thing I was told to avoid were too much fish (incase too much Mercury is taken in) unpasteurised cheeses as risk to baby from listeria and liver pates etc xx

I know how easy it is to worry about these things, especially since one can feel like everyone else is doing everything perfectly. Honestly though, I wouldn't worry about this. The chances of you contracting anything from a few pieces of salami is so slim it's not worth thinking about it. From now on you can just avoid deli meats and save yourself the worry. I've accidentally done all kinds of things wrong already (ate pate, ate rare meat, drank a few glasses of wine before I found out I was pregnant) and I'm only 7+1 weeks!

Yeah I looked it up and the chances are very small. I'm 7 weeks today so we r very close! I don't really have any symptoms yet I know I should feel lucky as some woman get ao ill but I want to feel pregnant.

Oh I had t all the time last time I was pregnant and baby was totally fine! Most things are just risk from food poisonong etc, I'm sure it's fine :)
