My family (mother's side) has a history of hypertension and at 20 years of age came perilously close to being with Our Maker during my delivery. BP went through the roof and successfully delivered on the fourth try --- my doctors didn't want me to push it.
Got lucky there. A combination of all things healthy (including wanton exercise) made me deliver safely.
