Does anyone have any experience of having an HyFosy rather than HyCosy? I am having an hyfosy on Wednesday, they use ExEm foam rather than whatever they use for the hycosy. From googling it sounds like quite a new technique
I am on CD8 today but have been getting high smileys and I do ovulate on day 9 or 10 sometimes. Wednesday will be CD11 I am hoping ovulation will hold off until after the procedure as assuming cant BD before it

Had mri on Friday as I have some kind of lump on my womb, I am wondering if the hyfosy will help the fertility specialist put my mind at ease on Wednesday as maybe the foam will show up the lump more clearly on the ultrasound before I get results of MRI

Hoping and hoping that the lump is harmless and I have no tube blockages. If all ok I am considering IUI as my next step

Sorry I haven't heard of or had it, I had a HyCosy way back when starting our tests and found it mildly uncomfortable with a bit of cramping. Hopefully the hyfosy isn't too dissimilar. After my HyCosy I think we did 6 rounds of Clomid before starting IUI, they will usually want to go for IUI first before IVF although would obviously depend on their results of previous tests. Fx for you it goes well and the lump is not anything to be concerned about. X

6 rounds of clomid? Does that mean 6 months? I havent got 6 months to wait i am 43! I ovulate on my own every month. IUI is £700 so much cheaper option than IVF and one of my issues is that we only prob manage sex once a month so timed IUI might be a better option for us if my tubes are ok. Feel like i am closer to getting answers on wednesday just hope its the right ones!! X

It was depending on how my body responded, as far as I recall it was between 6-8 months I think we had a break before doing the last round. If you ovulate every month then IUI sounds more likely to be the next step then. My process went by all of my results from ultrasounds to bloods to the HyCosy, I think clomid before iui and ivf was just the standard NHS route, but this might vary from area to area. Are you on the nhs or private? X

Getting hyfosy done on nhs but im not entiltled to IUI or IVF on nhs due to being 43 :-( :-( could absolutely kick myself for not going drs years ago. So id have to pay for IUI. I suggested to my fella we could do it at home but that didnt go down too well. Guess it all depends what they find on wednesday. Ivf might turn out to be my only option but funds are a stopping point for that at the moment x

Ah I see. Hopefully you get the answers you want on Wednesday and are able to go for IUI. I know some people go for treatment abroad since it's cheaper but not sure how it works in terms of appointments etc? Have you looked around at different clinics to see if the cost of treatment varies? Not sure if it does but may be worth a look? X

Feel sooooo relived! Had the hycosy few seconds of sharp pain then wasnt too bad. Got very mild cramp now but im ok. Both tubes absolutely fine!!!!! They couldnt see any lump on my uterus said i had some calcium on cervix but nothing to worry about and wouldnt prevent me getting pregnant. Best of all my fsh level is 6.5!!! Blood tests at gp showed it was 13.9 and 10.5 so glad it seems to be in normal range now. They did amh blood today so hopefully they will come back ok. Fella has agreed to psychosexual counselling as i really do think its the frequency now as he has lots of issues around sex. We have holiday in march and we do tend to do it alot more on holiday so everything crossed!! Least nothing physical wrong !! Phew xx
