So.. as weve been trying for a baby for nearlly a year and finaly got a BFP few days ago.. we have a name in mind for a girl.. well i say 'we' more.. 'he' ..

what does everyone think of 'Nikandra' ? ..
Its a latin name of a flower. and also means 'apple of peru' =/

anyway.. shortening would be 'nikki' I think its growing on me.. or is it too different?

Full name would be Nikandra Nora Davis =)

Erm- I don't like it personally- it just doesn't sit right with me ( sorry ) x

I love it its really pretty. Different but not too out there.

It's not really for me i'm afraid but then my boy's names couldn't be any more ordinary lol. I have 2 Davis babies too :) x

I love it, very beautiful

Its very mixed with everyone ive told it too.. Thanks for your opinions =) plenty of time to mull it over.. On the other hand boys names are a nighmare!

Boys option so far is..

Logan Stuart Davis

I like nikandra - haven't come across it before but think it sounds really pretty and nice to have something a bit different.

Like Logan too :) xxx

I like the name but don't like Nikki (my cousin is called Nikki and we don't get on) and that's how she spells it! x

Im not a fan of Logan because its so popular around here we where going to have Loki but we had a girl and then found out its the god of mischief! x

Thank you naomi =) ..

RedBear.. Thats a fair enough point and i have dismissed many name due to the same reason haha.. on the other hand havn't heard Logan here once =)

x

Well ive found different areas have different trends so one name is unheard of hear but super popular in London for example so id go with whats 'common' where you live! Don't listen to me I don't know your area its just where I am a few people have it. But then again Jenson is popular here and Lexi and some places they are unusual x

For Christ sake im going to be calling my son (if I ever have one) Selwyn after my grandad who died at 33, and who names there child that! I must be mad lol x

Haha.. first thought im not too keen. but now im saying it.. it sounds welsh =/ .. im from wales so would probably fit in here.. nice to have different ones =) x

Well ive got an ALice and a Temperance so need something to fit next time (long time away) lol x

I think it's beautiful x x x

I love it, it is different but in a good way!
