Hurry Up Baby Sophie

Will this baby ever get a move on? I had a prostaglandin pessary put in at 10pm last night as my cervix wasn't quite ready for my waters to be broken. Its just about dilated enough but apparently would be really uncomfortable if they tried as its just a little inaccessible.

The result of the pessary is, Im uncomfortable! Thanks to the spd, the internal to check and put it in hurt my pelvis so it, my back and lower abdomen is now fairly tender.

Hopefully the pessary will have done the trick when they take it out tonight so i can have my waters broken tomorrow morning otherwise its round two of prostaglandins in the morning.

I'm just getting nowhere fast and getting really annoyed with people asking whether I've had the baby yet!

Aww hope she gets a move on for you soon! Have you got any clary sage with you? It's meant to also bring on contractions while de-stressing you, you can get your OH to massage your back with it in some oil. Good luck x

Just had the prostaglandin removed... absolutely nothing has changed. Im just getting nowhere

They aren't. Its really busy up on the labour ward so i haven't even been to assessed to find out a plan of action

At 41 wks +3 with my 1st I had a 4 pessaries over a period of 4 days... then eventually was 3cm then had waters broke.... was finally in labour but after another 11hrs i had only progressed a couple my cms so had a c section for failure to progress. I was fine so was my baby so there was no need for them to have rushed me. I wish I had gone home and waited.


dont be pushed into anything your body obviously isnt ready yet but your not broken! as long as the baby is fine just wait till she is ready to come out. keep active too

Aww hun it will happen soon, they can let you go too much longer, im booed in for induction on tuesday but really hoping i go into labour before then! Best of luck your baby girl will be here soon xx

She's here! 6lbs 10oz.. Im still round lol.

Saw the consultant at 2.15pm who managed to break my waters even tho i was only 1-2cm, had barely started effacing and was still in slightly the wrong place. Went on the drip at 4.30pm and contractions started every 5mins an hour or so later, and they were strong and lasting awhile. Had an epidural at 10.10pm as they were about 3 mins apart, was still only 2cm but fully effaced and in the right place. Contractions went to 6 in 10 mins and i had the epidural turned off at 12 as it was too high. At 2.20am i was 10cm. 1 hour 20 mins later she was here

Littlemiss, she is my first, we're so in love with her, her daddy adores her. Still in hospital as she's struggling to feed but will post pics when I'm home
