HSG top tips?

Hi all,

I've got a HSG next week and although I've read the paperwork and know what to expect are there any top tips anyone can give me? Am nervous about the appointment but also, oddly enough, looking forward to it .......

Thanks, yep definitely time for some answers...a scary but necessary route, I'm thinking that if I know what the problem is I've got some chance to try to fix it! My GP said the HSG would be like a 'plumber clearing out all the pipes' and that there could be increased opportunity for pregnancy afterwards .... has that happened to anyone?

It's a pelvic ultrasound, not sure what the letters stand for lol

Instead of looking for a baby, they will be looking at your ovaries and how many follicles (where the egg comes from) each has and how mature they are. They'll make sure your tubes aren't blocked and maybe even have a look at your uterus lining to see how suitable it is for implantation etc

Here's hoping they'll find lots of lovely follicles and this month will be the one!
