Hi ladies, me and my partner have been ttc for 9 months now, and i have finally been scheduled for an HSG :) Does anyone have any information on what happens, and what their outcomes were good or bad? I am 20 and suffer from annovulation and very long cycles.
thanks in advance :)

I had one a few weeks back. I found it very painful - much more so than I was expecting. But this is not the case for everyone so please don't panic! I would take some painkillers beforehand though.

My results were positive in that my tubes were clear - I hope that's the case for you too xx

Thanks londongirl :) how ling have you been tTCL and what is your situation if you font mind me asking x

We have been trying a year. I have pcos and don't have any menstrual cycles.

What about you? Have you had blood tests and ultrasound done?

Similar situation, i came off my pill last september, and have been properly trying since december. I had ultrasounds done last year and had a gynea appt on tuesday, where i was put forward for an hsg. I havent been diagnosed with pcos but i have symptoms such as acne, hirsutism and cycles that vary from 14 days- 70 days x

Thankyou, I will do. Recieved my letter today, just need to wait for af to show up so i can book :) x

Hey hun, I had a HSG in Jan after 18 months TTC- was told my tubes were blocked and had a laparoscopy in March. Those couple of months in between were unbearable- I thought that was it for us. Turns out both tubes were clear and HSG was wrong!! Apparently it's fairly common. So don't stress if the "worst" comes back. 2 months after lap I fell pregnant- theres no reason we know of why it took so long to conceive, other than OH having slightly lower than usual sperm count.

Don't worry, I'm sure you'll get there :-) x

Hey hon

Did u get your appointment through

I had my HSG yesterday didn't have a great experience & was very uncomfortable but I think most people find it ok I think I was a difficult customer

Straight after they showed me the screen of the process and you saw how the dye moved and stuff so you should get some basic answers straight after

Good luck x
