How much do you spend on gas an electric per week or month?
How much is tv licence?
How much is a water bill?
How do you pay for these?

Im wondering because we are looking for a council house and ive no idea how much money we will need weekly to live off and once i go back to work if we would even be able to afford rent off a minimum wage?

A lot of it will depend on the size of house for a start. We rent a council house, it's 2 bedrooms, rent is £85 a week, gas and electric £100 (combined), a month, tv license is £24 per quarter, water is £40. Don't forget things like sky (if having it), council tax, house contents insurance, food shopping etc.
It can be daunting at first, but write everything down on a calendar or planner, with dates of all bills going out, and dates when any money coming in

do u or your OH work? If i go back to work and my OH stays at home with baby (which is the plan if i can get employed) then id only be only minimum wage so it would no where near cover all that even working full time.
& before I even get employed we only have 200 a fortnight :/ how do people do it? :/

Our gas/electric is £150/month, water £40 (metered) can't remember tv licensce about £14 not much really, it's the mortgage that's the biggest at £1600/month. There's all kind of hidden costs, it's a never ending pit, a bit like babies lol

Gas/ electric is 750 a month combine with British gas .

Water bi is 230 a month

Tv licence was £145 I think for the year I paid the whole amount up front but you can pay weekly or monthly I think xxx

I like in Scotland, so my water is combined with my council tax at £125 a month.
Gas and electric £35 a month.
And I pay my tv licence over a year at £12 a month.
You can find out about entitlements online, would recommend you check these out. Very useful. Just google benefit checkers xx
