How to cope when birth doesn't go the way you imagined

Thank you for posting that. It makes sense. I'm ok until I watch someone giving birth and then I get upset all over again, when I think I've dealt with it xx

It echoed how I feel to be a failed breastfeeder. My daughter turned 1 yesterday and there are still days when I feel down about it, even though I keep telling myself I should have 'got over it' by now.
 
I must admit it's nice to see other people talking about the same things I'm feeling. I ended up with an emergency section after being induced for high blood pressure and getting stuck after a 12 hour labour at 8cm. I do feel sad about it and feel bad that for the first 24 hours of my son's life I was out of it on painkillers. I hardly held him that first day. It also made breast feeding impossible. I do still cry about how things aren't as I had wanted them to be and to be honest it has put me off having more in the future. But the more I talk about it, the better I'm starting to feel about it.
