How long to wait to lift my 16 month old after c section?

It's been 3 weeks now, and I know they say to wait 6 for most things, but I feel fine and want to get back to normal.

Hubby is back at work now, so have to rely on family staying to look after him.

Anyone got advice or past experience?

Sorry, I read that as your LO was 16 months old and you still hadn't lifted them

Seriously though, I'd give it a couple of weeks more, it's a deep incision and of your LO is heavy, squirms or kicks it might not be good for you. X

My nephew is a year old chunky monkey-proper little solid lad, I lifted him after a week and felt no pain in wound. Then again I had no pain what so ever from it doing things like scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees 5 days after the surgery!

Go with ur own body-you will know best! Xx

Thanks for replies I today lifted him from cot carried him down stairs changed nappy and lifted him to and from high chair.. Felt no pain and felt so happy being normal again! he was happy too! Just hope I'm not undoing the so far problem free recovery. xx
