Hospital advised me to have one period before trying again.
We started again right away before I had a period though, as I didn't want to wait.
It's important that you are both, both physically and mentally ready to try again.

^^ exactly what Emily says, whenever your partner is ready to start again.
Some wait until after their first period, some right away, some a few months - each to their own.

It depends on lots of things really. My last mc my gp told me to wait 8 weeks, my consultant said get a bleed induced after 4 if my cycles hadn't returned and start clomid straight away.
If you aren't waiting for any testing go for it when you are both ready. Just remember the emotional side usually takes longer to heal than the physical.
