How do I use Clary Sage during pregnancy and labour?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had used Clary Sage during the end of pregnancy or during labour? I've heard about using it but not sure how?

Hi there Clary Sage can be extremely useful but ONLY after your due date. It SHOULD NOT be used in earlier in pregnancy as it may bring on premature labour. I used it to great effect during labour when I had my son. I used the following blend 30ml grapeseed oil, 4 drops Lavender essential oil, 1 drop Clary Sage and 1 drop of Jasmine. My hubbie helped by massaging these into my tummy and lower back. Just a note of caution - I read that some women find that Clary Sage can be a little TOO powerful resulting in somewhat hectic contractions. If that concerns you then just leave out the Clary Sage and use the Lavender and Jasmine. Hope this helps? Best of luck xxx
