How could they?

They must have pretty conclusive evidence I would say otherwise they'd have to release them, surely? I can't believe that someone could hurt their children in such a way, so evil and barbaric. And the poor children that are left, to know your parents, the one who are supposed to love and protect you against all odds, set fire to your house with you all asleep in there...and killed 6 of your siblings. So awful.

They were on Jeremy Kyle a while back being slatted for the way they live etc. He didn't come across very well on the show.

I can't even get my head around the fact they've done this!! Pure evil!!! I've been hugging Jack lots this morning thinking about it! (1 of the little boys was called Jack too :( ) x

Apparently the guy has been done for murder/attempted murder? Can't remember which one for stabbing his ex gf and her mother loads of Times and my mum read somewhere that he was threatening ge council that he'd kill his Kids. Sickening. RIP poor little children. I really hope it wasnt the parents, awful whoever did it but just can't comprehend a parent causing their deaths. so so sad

They've been in the news before, demanding a bigger house. Maybe this was a "now we're being threatened/our house is damaged so now you have to move us" plea that backfired horrendously? They're appearing in court today.

That was my thoughts exactly! They may of done it thinking they'd get the children out in time. What ever its truley awfull xx

Sound pretty conclusive on the Derby news:

Last night, a spokesman for the CPS (Crown Prosecution Service) said: "The evidence was reviewed by a crown advocate from the CPS East Midlands complex casework unit, who decided that there was sufficient evidence to charge and that it is in the public interest for a prosecution to take place.
