Hey guys, just wondering how can I tell at which point will I be ovulating? Is it about 2 weeks after last AF? I've heard some people only try for a baby when they're ovulating, does having sex every day increase the chance of a pregnancy? Thanks x

Hi, you could try charting your temperature, but that would tell you when you have Oved not when you are going to. Once you get used to the charts and how your temps go you can usually work it out for yourself. Look on the chart stalker thread for info or go to http://www.fertilityfriend.com. Or, you could try using OPK (you can get them cheap off ebay) that would give a positive about 24 hours before you Ov. Or, you can check your cervical mucus, which should be the consistancy of raw egg white or really thin and watery when you are in your fertile days. You can also check your cervix position, how soft and open it is, but I can't remember how that works. I think thats all the Ov predictions covered  . Also you shouldn't really BD every day as the sperm needs about 48 hours to mature, so during your fertile phase you should BD every other day. The day you Ov isn't nessasarily 14 days after AF begins, some people Ov late or early in their cycle.
Good luck chick, hope you get your BFP soon

You usually OV 10-16 days BEFORE your next period not after your last one. Your bet bet is either charting or OPK's.

If you want to get a feel for when your ovulationg why not try the clear blue ovulation sticks? or download a ovulation calendar? i found mine really helped pinpoint my fertile days

i found charting temps helps loads - makes you learn and understand you cycles more than you would think! Try looking at fertility friend - this should help out loads. Girls on here use it so plenty of heklp around if you need it x

most doctors recomend BD every 2/3 days throughout your cycel to increase your chances, though obviously timing around OV can improve them.

I would suggest fertility friend too, its a great way of getting to know your cycles and your body, even if you only do it for a few months like I did - charting and temping can take over your life if your not careful!

Thanks for the information, I will try all of your suggestions. Sounds alot less tiring than BD'ing every day hoping to catch it! Thank you very much  [/u]
