Housing Benefit

Also from the first of april theres changes in HB. Atleast in my local council as far as i am aware. I know up until 16 h work you can declare you wages at jcp and sign on without really receiving benefits but receiving the support which could support your application for HB en ctax bens. That you might not qualify for full benefits doens't mean jts that black and white its worth discussing your situation with an adviser, also your local councils website will have advice how to do so on there website.

Im not judging but y are u reducing your hours to 16? is it so u can get HB etc?

I dont work and my oh works 37.5 hours a week, also adding in as many shifts as possible to cover us. Dont think im entitled to anything tho x

You may be we are with me not working at DH working full time so apply and see.

No i stopped working last year to have my LO (and this one) and will be going back to work when there in school and nursery (dont get me started on childcare costs its more than my wage for them to go) however saying that my dad owns a company that employs a few people and pays enough tax to cover what we get quite a few times over. He isn't upset that im out of work to raise my kids for a few years and he probably looses a lot more than most to the government. And he knows im not lazy as i used to work for him fitting central heating which takes hard work and it took a lot to become fully qualified which ill still have when i go back, not everyone who is a sahm or needs help with rent is lazy, im sure back in the day most mum's/ grandmothers used to stay home and they where not lazy.

Its tough when one of you two is working fulltime.. Do you gt any child tax credits?

me? yes we get them only just started getting hb because i didn't think we qualified and didn't send off for months but we did just shows you should always apply and let them tell you what you should get. xx

I'm sorry but don't judge a person unless you know the full story,Me and other half get judged as I don't work I'm a full time carer to daughter who has development delay, epilepsy etc we can't afford a place in a special nursey. I'm not sure if we can get help with housing etc I'm scared to ask as again people judge

Jazz, you should ask!!! The worst they can do is say no :hugs:

I just get really cross when people judge , as I've said in previous posts, I used to get stereotyped as some kind of slag because I was single and pregnant!!! I even got asked once if I knew who the father was!! No one knew my situation they just 'assumed' :( very sad x

no one has to know if you get it. its paid straight into your account and its all done through the post or town hall. there is an element for disabled family and so you would probably get a bit extra to.cover extra expense with travel etc so apply hun. i also help with my mum who has lung disease but hey ho Im lazy ;) x

jaxx that's shocking no one knows what's happened what if you where recently widowed and pregnant how upsetting would that be cheeky gits!!

I know!! What happened was I was in a relationship! Went to work one day, newly pregnant immediately after a mc and came home to a letter and my fella had done a bunk!! I was 6 weeks pregnant!! But people just assume that Stanley is the result of a one night stand and I feel myself constantly justifying myself :( x

what a shit thing to do wanker. Yeh people are quick to assume they know everything when they don't have a clue. x

or don't be lazy and either both or one have a full time job?
Keep your rude judemental comments off the forum.

You're lucky I'm on the mobile or I'd have much more to say so I suggest you think before you talk AT someone like that again.
