housing benefit?!

Hiya just want to know if anyone can just confirm this for me please. I started housing benefit at the start of a 6month tenancy and had to show them proof of tenenacy and payments etc and its due for renewal in august which iv already signed the contract for just waiting for it in the post buti phoned the council and she said i dont have to renew the claim it will just carry on till i tell them im moving out. is this right? and its privately rented x

Thank you i thought you had to reapply as when i first got it there was a sign saying a rapid reclaim and this was in the council lol. Glad thats 1 less thing for me to worry about x

Mine just keeps on running even though they knew when my tenancy ended lol

But I signed a new one anyways
