i've been having a sort out tonight and i know it's wayyyy to early to think about going into labour yet, but i'm just wondering what everyone is taking/ sorting out now for their trip to the hospital or for their birth (however you choose to have it)

Breast pads, maternity pads, flannel, towel, dressing gown, slippers, spare undies and toiletries for me.

Nappies, going home clothes and teddy for baby.

I have no idea what else I'll need, lol.xx

Yeah pretty much the same I'll have a think about what else I'll need

A mahooosive chocolate cake, a magnum of champagne and a snorkel

lip balm (for the gas and air)
hot water bottle
breast feeding pillow
shower gel
makeup (so many pics in the hrs after birth, so ugly)
hairbrush
maternity pads
drinks and snacks
camera + charger (you're f'd if it dies on u)
phone charger
breast pads
pound coins (for the telly)
earplugs and blindfold (trying to sleep with lights and screaming = impossible)

You can tell I've had a section and been stuck in hospital 3 days before 3 days after.

well me and hubby were discussing it last night and i want everything sorted for when LO gets here, sister thought she went into labour the other night and was completely unorganized! i want to know within the second i go out the door i've got everything i need :D (Never used to be this organised lol)

medium cooked steak, some goats cheese, liver pate and a nice bottle of martini is what i want straight after LO pops out lol

other than that, just the basics - most sites and books list ideas of what to take. also important for the OH to think about what he needs to bring (music, food, drink, blanket for himself to snooze in if its a long one etc)

Ooooh this is a great thread - I'm so lost on what to take and want to make sure I'm prepared. Panicking and nesting are both setting in at once!

I wanted to bring a bottle of Lanson's black label champagne but not sure how well it'd go down with the breastfeeding, meds, and blood loss.
