hospital bag

a question that has most prob been asked hundreds of tmes, but does anyone know of any good lists / sites of what to pack for hospital? I was planning to do it when i was 32 weeks, but i need to get it done sooner becuase of baby arriving sooner.

ive got a rough list, but i feel like i am missing something major....

must have packed and repacked about 50 times

You are all saying your hospital bag am i the only person who had a bag for me and 1 for baby???

well i have 3..but im only taking 2.
1 for baby..one for me (im taking with me)
and then one just incase i have to stay in and need some extra bits (i cant count on DH to get it right so he can just come home and grab the other bag.)

i had 2 packed at 30 weeks about 50 time hehe then wen i went into labour it syill wasnt ready lol

Ive got 2 bags - but babies is almost ready. just need to pop the clothes into it, but i want to wash them closer to the date first.

Ive also got a list of overnight stuff i want OH to bring if they need to keep me in if monitoring doesn't go to plan, or if my levels shoot up. Don't see the point in packing that, if he is happy to grab a few bits and pieces. Also i live mins from the hospital, so it wouldn't take him long to come back if he had forgotten something!!!

do not forget a small bag for your birth partner, with a clean t shirt ( in joes case ), a small tooth brush and toothpaste, some spare change, some snacks and whatever else you think might be needed

ive got his stuff as being - Change of clothes, camera + batteries, change for phone, contact numbers, drinks/food/sweets, book or magazine. I will leave him to pack his own - im bound to get it wrong

Haven't packed my OH anything as at my Hosp he will have to go home if i'm not in full blown labour and they'll ring him to come in and after ive had bubs he has to go home not long after

infant carrier (which i will get OH to pick up - no point in taking it until we are ready)
Baby blanket
Newborn nappies (how many do you think i will need?)
3 x New born body suits
3 x New born sleep suits
going home outfit
Cotton wool
Baby lotion
Tissues
Baby wipes

My hospital bag

Dressing gown
Slippers and socks
old fashion / 'crap' nightie
Toiletries - Toothbrush/toothpaste, soap, shampoo, flannels, deodorant, hairbrush, hair bands, lip balm,
breast feed bras
breast pads
breast cream
Disposable briefs
Sanitary towels
Second nightie - front opening
Dark coloured towel
Note pad / pen
Going home clothes


I just feel like i am missing major things, but can't put my finger on them.

Any suggestions?

I've got pretty much all of that too. I've packed a whole small pack of newborn nappies.

You might want to pack something to keep you entertained..CD's, Mp3 Player, Crosswords etc..

did you remeber the kitchen sink the fondou set and the cuddly toy!
