hello ladies how much baby clothes r we packing ? Are use going for just new born or 0-3 too

Unless you are very overdue, I'd stick to newborn, they tend to be bigger than they claim, and their legs and arms stay scrunched up for the first week or so so they never fill the legs lol.

I'd take at least 3 babygrows and vests personally. You will probably get through at least 2 outfits in the first 24hrs due to 'leaking' (either mucus, poop, pee, or other bodily fluids lol.) It's good to have a spare change of clothing :)

I agree with the above. We've got 6 vests and sleepsuits each but I'm guessing we will be in for 2 nights. I'd stuck with newborn although we've got some tiny baby in ours too.

We only had newborn and.my babies were 8lb4 and 9lb6 and fit them fine. We took.about 6 vests and 6 sleepsuits.

I've got 3 sleep suits & 2 vests in up to 7.5lb (midwife said baby will prob be in low 7lbs) & the same in up to 10lb (in case she is wrong!). Also got a little home outfit in both sizes too. Bit worried about how much I'm taking actually. My husband thinks I've gone over the top. X

I've packed a lot, probably overpacked but I've packed for twins, incase they need to stay in longer and mainly first size and newborn for us.

I took up to 5lbs clothes for my twins as they were 3 weeks early, and they have only just gone into first size at 4 weeks old

Hi Hutchy how are the babies doing? What weight were they again when born? x

I'm taking a couple of newborn and a couple of 'up to 1 month'. Might take a 0-3 just to be on the safe side! Not taking too much though as OH has said if need be, he'll run into the city centre to get more clothes.

Honestly, my first baby was born at 37 weeks and weighed just under 6lb at birth - had to get "prem baby" clothes, and they were still HUGE on my baby, even though the labels claimed "up to 5lb"

Newborn should be plenty big enough.

I brought newborn and 0-3 and only the newborn fit everything else is giant on her and she was 7lb9 take one or two just in case but newborn is best bet x

I took tiny baby, newborn and 0-3 months as I was so unsure what her weight would be!

I am taking newborn only .. 3 vests 3 sleepsuits and two outfits I think.. If end up staying longer than I expected and need more then someone will have to bring more up .. Everything will be all organised at home so will be easy to grab something ! Hopefully I'll be straight home tho the next day I really don't want to stay in long I want to get home to my son with his little sister xxx

I need to do my bag this week no idea what to put in for myself at all!!

I need to do my bag this week no idea what to put in for myself at all!!

For me I have: jammies of some sort, slippers, dressinggown, my toiletries, maternity pads, breast pads and some cheap pants I've yet to get those. Phone charger - I think that's it.

Phone charger!!! Genius- that's the kind of thing I'd forget and hubby definitely would too! I'm also taking chocolate in mine- it's my no. 1 emergency essential :-) Don't know when to get my bag ready as I'm not due until end of Feb but this thread is so useful!

Nipple cream is a must too if you plan to breastfeed ! My nipples were red raw last time so defo making sure I have some in bag xxx

Packed my bags also left a spare bag ready for hubby to bring other things in. Ive got to just put my clothes in as ive got a limited wardrobe atm! Ive packed flipflops rather than slippers as easier to slip on and off, button down nightie for feeding, breast pads, nipple cream, maternity pads, big knickers toiletries etc. Baby bag have 3 babygrows, 6 vests, nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, towel, blanket, hat and cardie.

If your nipples are sore in the first few days you need to make sure the latch/attachment is right. Some soreness in the first 30seconds or so is expected, but being 'red raw' is not and nipple cream won't help if the latch is bad or the baby has a tongue or lip tie, so please do get help, and as many second opinions as you need until it stops hurting.

I had attachment issues he went on bottles within a week .. Nipples were red raw and nipple cream helped a lot for me .but I guess they was so sore because he couldn't attach properly xxx
