Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone could offer me some advice?

I'm nearly 7 weeks into my first pregnancy and every single twitch terrifys me at the moment, every single day I expect to see blood and I'm so scared about m/c.

Yesturday I woke up with a cold, and it's got so much worse, I can barely breath and feel so rotten. I was sick twice overnight, altho I think this was a mix of morning sickness and cold. I'm so worried tho - surely this can't be good for my baby? Is there anything I can take? I was using an Olbas Inhaler but have just read that this can be harmful, so now I'm even more worried as I've been using it for the past day!

Any advice would be fantastic, thanks so much! x

I'm in th same boat and i'm not taking anything as there are no cures only time, i keep getting the sneezes every few days, i think its just a pregnancy thing. Apparantly we'll be feeling better come week 12 so hang in there!

Thanks hun - I hope so, I just feel so rancid right now! Just hope being ill doesn't have any negative effect on my baby. . .

Sorry you're feeling poorly. I've got a cold at the moment too :(

You can take paracetamol if it all gets too much for you. Also you can inhale steam from a bowl. You can also make your own honey and lemon drink and take buttercup syrup if it turns into a cough.

Like noodle1 said, you can make your own lemon and honey drink, chop up a few lemons and boil them in a pan of water, leave them to simmer for a little while, then drink and add honey if you like it a bit sweet, it really does help with a cold, and it feels like it wraps you up inside, very cosy. hope you feel better soon.

I am having my first baby too, and think i am about 5 and half weeks, still waiting for a doctors appointment, i am worrying too, but try not as worry and stress isn't good for you or the baby.

I would lay off the paracetamol if you can and save it for emergencies only, as over use can cause liver problems in the baby.

I was just thinking today it wouldnt be giving birth that would put me off doing this agin but reather the morning sickness, its really getting me down now.
