i dont know if anyone watched this weeks holby city (28/6/05)
but there was a woman in it who went into full blown labour straight away and was 10 cm's dilated within 5 minutes, then gave birth to a breech baby in the hospital corridor after 2 pushes- with no complications might i add!!!!

Anyone who has already had a baby will know that if it was that easy then the world would be over run with babies!!!

oh and she had had a complicated birth before which lead to an emergency cesearean and sadly the death of the baby- but surely it wouldn't have been that easy with previous complications like that!!

If they are going to do it, why don't they make it realistic?!

Holby City frustrates me a little with the pregnancy stories, 8 times out of 10 something goes wrong with the mother or baby and I have to check before I watch it as I am very paranoid

I did read though that they are moving away from the maternity section in the Autumn.

its so fake, nothing ever goes right!!

someone always goes into early labour or there is an accident, why cant they just have a happy normal birth where a woman comes in to literally have her baby!!!!

its so funny though, it makes me laugh

I do know of someone who went from 3 cm to 10 in one push and had the baby after one 1 hour!!! this is the kind of birth im hoping for, it was her first too!!!

What! You mean it's not that easy? *runs for the hills screaming and holding head*

I know! it's the same on alot of programs! POP heres your baby all clean!
I'm following Mandy's Pregnancy in Hollyoaks because we are at about the same stage! I'm sure she will have hers earlier than Jan though and have a few complications along the way! "Dam TV" *shakes fist* I want a baby that pops out at a good weight (even when it is early) and clean after two minutes of panting

wouldn't we all!!

Anyway it may not be that easy but its all worth it and its an experience you will never forget!!

Yep - I saw it, and after being present at quite a few births I had to laugh........what does Zooben know about delivering breech babies anyway......such a specialist subject!!!

I am glad in a way that they are scrapping the maternity wing as I think it must put the frighteners up a lot of people!!

yeah but it makes you laugh!!!

ho hum, we can wish
