Hello everyone
I've just got back from hospital. As I'm moving on 1st September I havent been to my doctors yet. I'll have to inform them when I move. However, this morning I woke up with red itchy hives all over my stomach and legs and under my armpits. And my eyes are swollen. Feel pretty crap too. The hospital couldn't give me any antihistamine as there's are not suitable to use in pregnancy.
They reckon this is nothing to do with being pregnant?? Anyone else had anything similar?
Thanks xx

My sister had it in both pregnancies...the doctors gave her cream to soothe her skin and I'm sure she was given some medication to help but I don't think it did. It was bad until she was into second tri x

There is antihistamines you can take
Theyre blue (sorry not much help)
I was given them as they also had anti sickness properties (not that they helped me for that mind you lol)

Have you got a maternity exemption card yet?
Go and ask a pharmacist they might be able to help with going through minor ailments

Thanks both!
Hope it doesnt last til 2nd tri! But at least i know I'm not the only one! Thanks emmam1982.
I'll google some antihistamine during pregnancy thanks mrss143. I haven't got my maternity card yet. They told me off at hospital for not telling docs about my pregnancy yet. She told me I'll wait weeks now. Ooops. Just don't want to register in one town and move next week!
Xx

The card is person specific and not tied to your GP practice
Either way go into a pharmacy. Say youre pregnant and exempt. See what they can give x
