High Downs Blood test result

I was told 7 working days for my harmony test, I'm thinking probably Monday (managing my expectations to be honest as don't want to be too hopeful I'll get before the weekend).

I had to pay for quick results with my amnio (was 6 years ago) but I'm sure it still took over a week, so sounds great that that has improved!

I had my first scan the other day and was talking to my aunt about it. Of course then the conversation went onto her pregnancy experiences. She had a 1 in 25 chance of a down syndrome baby with her first. She now has a 6'5 healthy 21 year old who has just finished his undergrad degree. Her second baby had a 1 in 4 chance of down syndrome. He is now a healthy 6'2 teenager about to go to St Andrews next year. She said she got the tests but didn't really know what to do with the results. She also said the information was good to have. I hope your baby is healthy. And even if your baby has got a chromosonal abnormality he or she may have a long and fullfilling life despite their genetics. All the best xo

Its just a waiting game at the moment, but not nice when they say we will get the results Friday and then hear nothing ... not even a call to say the results aren't ready, when I try and call them it just goes to answer phone .. I actually feel like im going to go crazy xx

Oh my god, it was clear (well as clear as it can be 1:10,000). The relief is just indescribable. I feel like time stood still for a whole week. What a drain. I've been thinking of you babypickle, let me know how you get on!

Thanks for your support ladies. I am going to 'try' and start enjoying this pregnancy now and hope nothing else knocks me off my feet!
