Looking for anyone who has had a high risk result for downs and all worked out ok. I've just had a call from the results of my blood test showing a 1:23 chance and now need to arrange for a harmony test.

Would love to hear from people who have had similar result from their bloods at 12 weeks turned out ok! I'm going out of my mind with worry. This pregnancy has been hell so far and just seems to go from bad to worse.

Oh Helen I'm so sorry this has now happened. This baby is definitely going to be a cheeky one! I don't have any experience but I hope someone can come and give you some reassurance. Thinking of you and sending hugs  xxx

Hello :-)

I'm really sorry to hear that , must be really worrying after seeing the scan. I'm still waiting to hear back from mine.

I don't have any personal experience but have had two friends who got told theirs were high risk. They had another test - wasn't amino , so maybe harmony - and both found out there were ok.

I know it must be really worrying but try and stay positive x x

Oh no Helen, you poor thing. You are having a horrendous time and must be so worried. I don't have any experience of this but am keeping everything crossed for you. How quickly can you get the harmony test? Hugs xxx

Fingers crossed for you that everything is ok. I've not got any experience I'm afraid, but hope you can find out soon. x

Oh Helen not what you need to hear :hugs:

I had a 1:30 chance with my little girl and went on to have an amnio and she is absolutely perfect! This is why I am having the NIPT/Harmony test tomorrow, I think the combined test is ridiculous. A colleague I used to work with had a 1:42,000 and had a little boy with downs...

Amy x

Hi girls, thank you. I don't know if I'm being tested but this is just starting to turn me into a nervous wreck. I've had the harmony test this morning so they managed to get me in very quickly (always the way when private) so with £450 and a weeks more waiting we shall know either way. I've been told that my Papp was so low that they need to give me extra scans throughout the pregnancy as it can correlate with growth issues. It just gets better.. sorry ladies, feeling sorry for myself today shall snap out of it soon enough x

Don't be silly, you have every right to be feeling sorry for yourself. I'm feeling sorry for you too, you seem to be having bad luck with everything in this pregnancy. The good news is that you'll be kept a close eye on so hopefully that will give you some reassurance later on. Can you plan some fun or relaxing things over the next week to try to take your mind off things until you get the results? I know that's easier said than done x

Agree with joeypops you have every reason to feel the way you do Hun. I hope all turns out well. I agree with the extra monitoring hopefully that will provide you with some reassurance. I'm sorry I don't have any personal experience but didn't want to read and run. Wishing you the best for the rest of the pregnancy xx

Hi my results came back as 1:5, I had my amino done yesterday and should know by Friday ... fingers crossed everything goes well for you x

Good luck with you results, I have been in your position and know how awful the waiting is.x

Hi CJ, I'm so sorry to hear that. Fingers crossed for us both, what a testing time. Hope you're ok - if you don't mind me asking what were your figures to come to 1:5 as sometimes there just seems no rhyme or reason to them, do you think!?

Hiya, on my 12 week scan the NT measurement was 3.6mm, they havent really told me much about my blood test results just that we were 1:5 chance, in all honesty it really took the shine away from everything and it got so hard hearing people just saying "it will be fine" I feel like I cant relax until I know. Every ultrasound we have had afterwards the NT has reduced, and after checking heart valves, all organs, fingers and toes midwife says there is nothing visible that would concern her .. but I guess now its just a waiting game, let me know how you get on xx

CJ - good luck for Friday.

My mum had high risk when she was pregnant with me, but she was 39. She did have the amnio and I've turned out just fine x

I had my test done Tuesday too Helen. Fingers crossed you and CJ get your results quickly and you can put your your mind at ease :hugs: x

sorry to here that Helen, how long does the harmony test take to come back?
hope all your results come back quick, thinking of you all x

Thanks Mumbear, a week, so hopefully by next Tuesday. It's going to be a long weekend :(

BabyPickle we should get our results around the same time then as I had mine tues as well?

I had one done and the results came back within 3 days, however she did ring me with the results x

Does anyone know if the results are always 3 days or if they are ready any earlier ... Im so impatient xx

From what I've been told Amnio's are 3 days, Harmony's are 5 but that's working days so 7 if I include this weekend x
