So I have dissapeaed for a while but I'm back. I gave birth to my boy on 10.11.11 @ 4.32am. It was a 15 hour labour and 2.5 hour delivery stage. I got up to 2 cm dialated and the contractions became very strong as I was induced and on the drip as my waters broke but no dilation so induction it was. I can't compare the pain factor but I can say that because they control the dosage on the pump through the iv to bring on the contractions, it got very painful. So I was given an epidural but not a spinal block do I was aware of some feeling but the nerve endings are blocked so theoretically the pain was numb. By 5cm I started to get really bad pressure on my left hand side of back and I thought they must have screwed up the epi. Turns out its baby lying on my back nd the little monkey wouldn't turn. So in the end my body created a block on the left side so I felt every single contraction whilst the other side was numb. Eventually through the help of gas and air and I even stronger drug administered through the iv in my back, we got to 10cm...so my mw said time to push. So I had no urges and no "poo sensations" I had to litrally push the whole time for about 2.5 hours. At 4.32am put pops henry, 8.5lbs quite a lump. In the end I had an episiotomy as mw feared I'd tear so I had that done which didn't bother be. I had quite bad piles but after 4 days I could use anusol which is a god send. I was to scared to poo as I thought my bum nd front would become 1 lol do I took lactalose for a while nd that really helped. Tea tree oil helps healing and I had about 3 soaks a day to keep everything cleaned. Anyway the whole experience was amazing and I do love my boy so much. All I will say is, if you can try and get a sleep through contractions. Xxxx

Aww congratulations. Im glad you can call the experience amazing after going through it.
