Hi everyone

It is my first time writing on here, I had wanted to wait until after my first appointment with the midwife as I was finding it hard to believe I am pregnant. My husband and I are really excited and think I am 6 weeks gone. My appointment with the midwife is next tuesday.

When I got up this morning I had a small amount of bleeding, at first I thought it was implantation bleeding as I had read about that. I realise now though that I am too far on for that. I have read lots of explanantions online but Im still really scared. I have managed to get an appointment at the docs this afternoon but wondered if any of you guys could help in the meantime?

Thanks x

glad you have appointment at doctors, at 6 weeks you can still have implanation bleed, it can stay in your body for a while and come out weeks later. Are you still beeding is it red, brown? was a lot or spotting? alot of people experience bleeding in pregnancy and everything can be fine unfortunately sometimes the worst can happen. i have bled with 4 out of my 5 children.

Thanks for that! I really dont want to become obssessive and worry about the slightest thing but thats easier said than done! Do you think from your experience they will do any tests today - and if so what?

it depends what your doctor is like, but most will refer you to early pregnancy unit for blood tests and scan, thats what they do mainly, its easier said than done to not obssess over things especially when you have had bleeding.

If it wasent an extreme amount of blood i wouldnt worry hope all is well xxx

oh you will become obsessed and worru about everything lol thats what we do. but this is a great place for a rant, a chat, to ask and answer questions, I have added a thred to tri 1 - all those girls cramping and or bleeding - have a wee read at that and good luck, hear from you soon lol xx
