Help with unusual girls names.

I know two people who have changed their name and one person who's sister changed her name. I also know of (not personally) two dr's who changed their names. Wouldn't you if you really disliked your name? I would!

I kept my surname when I married because I get soo attached to the stupidest stuff like my name, I googled Dr Temperance and it came up with Dr Temperance Brennon out of Bones its fictional but im ticking that one off, as for Alice o don't think anyone would be like omg Alice that's shocking lol. x

I think when people have been ridiculed for their names through school (and work!), they are only too happy to change it!

I used to like Tallulah it is Native American for running water. My younger sisters best friend was called Talitha and everyone called her leafy for short.

Yeh like I said though I got specky becky (I didn't wear glasses) or becky bigfoot through school and its the most normal name ever I think kids will bully regardless unfortunately x

Oh yeah, kids can be little terrors!
My cousin changed her name, although it was originally Michelle (so nothing out there!) she just hated it, so she now goes by her middle name!
My brother in law is called his last name (which is also a first name) and I didn't know for 9 years that that actually wasn't his real name. No one ever refers to him by his first name!

Yeh the buggers just because it rhymed lol now you mention it my dad is peter mark but has always used mark I think my granda called him mark from been born though, nothing wrong with Peter so don't know why. My Grandad died aged 33 and he was called Selwyn so I want that as a boy even though its unusual now, not that I think ill ever get a boy! xx

Kids can make anything rhyme, they are great little poets when they want to be. My friend was called Rebecca Cunliffe and in school she was called Rebecca ****-sniff

I always think of the doctor/lawyer test.
Would I want a lawyer called Princess Sunshine Star to represent me - no.
Or, hi my name is Dr Tinkerbell moonshine, I'll be operating on you today - no.
It shouldn't matter, but it does. I know Drs who have told me of classmates who have changed their name via deed pole to be taken more seriously amongst professionals and patients.

Here I am again!! OH has vetoed everything on my ever growing and changing list...apart from Willow, Storm and Sage. He reckons Willow is the one.....not quite as unusual as I may have liked but maybe that is a good thing? What dya reckon?
