HELP will I get any support????

Looks like me and my partner are splitting up I am gutted but things have got really messy so not working out.
Before going on maternity leave (and not sure if I want to go back to work next September) I was working 3 days a week in a school so crap money and he has just had to declare himself bankcrupt and has 2 boys to look after whose mum died last year.

So obviously things are really complicated and I need/want to move out but we have NO money. Just wondered if anyone can give me some advice on whether I would get some support from the council etc? I get the impression there is huge waiting list for council housing and is pretty grim anyway so if I found a place would they help pay my rent? Ahhhh so many question! Has anyone dealt with Bromley (Kent) council?

Hey hun, sorry to here about your situation
My parents arnt letting me back to the house because Im pregnant so in a few weeks I have to go to the council and say Im homeless. They have a duty to house me in a hostel/b&b untill iv had the baby, when Iv had the baby they get you a flat/house.
They said because I will havea child they have a responsabilty to house me.
So I would of thought its the same with you?
Give your council a ring and tell them your situation and see what they say.

they said they had 5.000 people on the waiting list and 500 avalable homes
but your classes as high priority so im sure they will house you

What does everyone reckon... if I get a place first will they help me with rent?

Can you not go for private rent?
everyone else gets rent help, dont see why they shouldnt help you!
They wont tell you if theyll help with rent or how much untill after you take on a place, thats the catch.

i would speak ti the c.a.b. and see if they can help.

Too many memories for me in this house, so wouldnt want to stay here by myself. Besides I don't want his kids to go through anymore drama and have to move again plus me and bubba dont need to be in a 3 bed house next to the school
