*Can't Claim Surestart untill im recieveing Income support?*

ill be living with my dad untill the baby is here (after which i am going to go back to the council to try and get a one bedroom flat, as its hell living here)

anyway i am trying to sort out things on my own. So far i have a list which says...

i may be able to claim for :

Income Support - (from 11 weeks before im due?)
Surestart grant - (once i am claming Income Support?)
Child Benefits (once baby is here)
Tax credits?

i have put in my Maternity letter to work and am waiting to hear if i qualify for SMP or MA.

is this everything as all the forms and websites get pretty confusing.

realising the right time to claim is also confusing, as websites say i cant claim the Surestart grant untill i am recieveing income support.

I know i can't claim the surestart grant until i can claim the tax credits which isn't until LO is born so i'm guessing that the 11 weeks makes sense (if that's when you get your income support).

It may be worth popping into your local job centre as their advisers will be bale to help make sure you get what you are entitled to xx
