I know that there are lots of posts with the topic of bleeding but i can't seem to find one that refers to my exact symptoms.

This (fingers crossed) will be my second child. With my first i just had a show of brown blood once and that was that. This time i'm 5 - 6 weeks pg and i have had a couple of shows of brown blood around twice a day when i wipe (for about the past 6 days). I fell through the floor yesterday when it was halfway between brown and red and took 3 wipes!!! I thought that was the beginning of the end.
It's now back to brown just once today. Thing is i have also had cramps for about a week, bit of an upset tummy though and the dreaded wind...could be down to that. Got an appt with Doctor on Thur morn.

Spent my last pregnancy being worried because it was my first. Now i know what to expect a little bit i just want to get on with being excited. Has anyone had these symptoms and gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?? Think i just need to be reassured, at the moment i'm waiting for the flood gates to open......

Hey hun

I had red bleeding and cramps every month until this month which was my first without it, and everything is happy and healthy in there!

We didn't know for the first few months, so was only once we knew bubba was in there that we got concerned - but doc done and internal check and said all was safe and sound.

Hopefully your check will be the same on Thursday hun. If it gets worse, call the NHS direct line and they will talk through it with you and advise whether they think you need to go in sooner to be looked at (which is what we done as it was a Sunday and saw the doc at the hospital within 15mins). x

Hi Debs,

I had exactly the same as what you're experiencing, brown blood which sometimes was a bit red, but not enough to need a panty liner, it was just there when I wiped. I also had cramps and I had all this on and off for about a week between weeks 5 and 6 of my pregnancy. I went to see my GP and she booked me in for a scan at the EPU, which showed that everything was fine.

If you're worried, go and see your GP, you'll get an early scan which, if it's good news (which I'm sure it will be) will really put your mind at rest.

Good luck,

Jen x

Thanks so much for the words of reassurance. It's such a horrible experience, i'm frightened to move.

I have been reading through lots of posts and you girls do so much to help each other...it's lovely. You all deserve a big pat on the back!!

Aww try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know).

It is nice here, like one big happy family! I'm quite new to it all too. You'll soon be giving other people your own advice as well as asking questions, just like the rest of us! :D
