Help needed!

Hey girlies...

Soo, I've been TTC since June and not had any luck yet. My bf has had past problems with tangled veins etc in his scrotum, so asked his GP about his fertility and was told to give a sample, which was over 2 months ago now, so I think it has been lost along the way....

My mother and sister in law have been telling me to go onto the pill for a couple of months and then try again, as it will make af more regular, but wouldn't that make it harder to conceive afterwards?? I've never been on any form of contraception and don't really want to start taking any.

I need advice and suggestions, any welcome!!!

Hello and welcome to pf. My own exp of coming off the pill was that it took ages for my periods to regulate. At first I was going anything up to 6 weeks between periods. If you are ttc I would avoid using the pill at all even just for a couple of months as ur body needs time to sort itself out after stopping the pill. I have been ttc for 7 months but I have been told it is perfectly normal to take up to 12 months to conceive- not that knowing that necessarily helps as I am like, right it's been 7 months and it's bfp time now!! Don't know if that helps at all, but I would say def no to the pill.

hi hun i would really try and chase his results up it would be quite shocking if they had lost them i had to do it with my partners its best to keep them on their toes lol.. as for the pill i went on it for a couple of months and it messed my periods up for months afterwards but every ones different i surpose.. sorry i cant be of much help to you and good luck with TTC xxxxx

Like others have said I would avoid going on the pill and chase up the results with the dr's.

a semen ananlysis is tested literlly less than an hour after it is "produced" - the rest of the wait is just admin. generally they dhould be with you in a week or so. have you been for any testing ie 21day bloods to make sure you are ovulating etc? Are you monitoring your cycles with OPKs, charting etc??

Hey hun, I was on the pill and came off end of july...my cycles are yet to regulate, 1st one was 36 days, 2nd was 37 days...this cycle im on cd 43 and still not had period....my recommendation dont go on it to try and regulateperiods as it may do the opposite.

i agree with the girls as well about ur OH's sperm sample, as surely they should have let u know by now? fx for u xxx

Same advice as the others do not go onto the pill i came off in may and still my cycles are irregular the pill will not help you to get regular it will mess u up. Fx it wont take you much longer before your bfp.
