Heartburn

Eugh!

What's worse? Heartburn or trying one of those Gaviscon tablets? I thought I was going to heave it back up into the sink and I can feel loads of sticky bits stuck in my teeth!

Sorry, very traumatic!

Have you tried drinking a glass of milk? i find that helps me when i have heartburn.

Ugh Sorry haven't had the pleasure of heartburn yet. I have heard that if you get heartburn it means you are going to have a hairy baby though

If youve got a home bargains nearby next time your close they sell 5 packs of refresher sweets for 59p and theyre better than anything else iv tried for heartburn and yum yum yum !

Try chewy Rennies, they are like a Chewit that tastes of Murray Mints. Very nice- I love them but hate the chalky textures of other heartburn tablets.

I hope LO's not too hairy... DH has a smallish hairy patch (can't remember it's medical name) on his back, it's not massive but I'm worried about it being hereditory!

OMG! I went to the chemist today and had to sit with the pharmacist while I went through how I was feeling and how far I am etc etc... He gave me the frickin' drink stuff and not the tablets, it's disgusting! I've got peppermint and it's gross

Hope they work for you, in all fairness, the drink worked near enough straight away and I'm getting heartburn worse as the weeks get on so if this baby is not a hairy monkey, I'll eat my hat xx

I also hate gaviscon, havent taken it in this pregnancy but took it when I was pregnant with Joanna and it's vile in my oppinion. I used the fruity rennees with Joanna and absolutly loved them with her. I've not had real bad acid with this pregnancy as of yet and think i've only used the fruit renees once or twice and while I dont like them as much as I did in Joannas pregnancy (Would have them even if no acid) I can still tollerate them but find them a bit chalky.

I have the rennies and the gaviscon liquid both on hand all day everyday, TBH when i get heartburn i'm glad to have that stuff being poured down my throat because ANYTHING has to be better than heartburn.
