Hey there! I'm Gail and I've just got my Bfp last week
I lost 3 stone after my miscarriage last year but have gained a stone back recently, I really want to maintain my weight and hopefully not put on much excess, I put on 4 stone with my son and I felt terrible, so I just was wandering if we could do a weight support/ healthy eating in pregnancy thread?
I'm so hungry since I've found out I'm pregnant and I know I could pile on weight so easily ;)
Anyone else in the same boat?

Hi Gail :)
I'm Tara! I also have PCOS and was fairly overweight throughout my childhood/teens and early 20s.
I moved to Sweden 3 years ago and embarked on my fitness journey! It's not been easy, I'm a big foodie!
I now work out minimum 3 times a week, I aim for 5. I do a mixture of HIIT, steady cardio and weights. Since Christmas I've also become a vegetarian/vegan I try to avoid all dairy products but I also allow myself one cheat meal a week which usually consists of cheese I love cheese!
My snacks usually consists of loads of fruit and raw vegetables like carrots peppers sugar snap peas and I dip them in hummus. I also try to stay gluten free so my carbs are usually sweet potatos, oats, rice and gluten free pasta. All of which are low glycemic carbs, great for people with PCOS as it helps control blood sugar levels thus providing an easier weight loss and also keeps you fuller for longer.
I also bought a nutri bullet or whatever they're called, I have the ninja one. I drink one shake a day and since becoming pregnant I make them very green. Spinach kale lime and ginger for example. My fave is frozen banana almond milk almond butter and dates

Hi Tara
Wow you sound extremely healthy! !
I've got a nutribullet and I'm going to try to.use it more now I'm pregnant, I love cheese too, and bread, cars are my downfall, my ideal meal is a cheese toasties with chips and brown sauce haha I like salad so I would have a side salad lol
I love cake chocolate and biscuits too so I'm trying to avoid those and eat fruit instead

Trying to be healthy and maintain weight is so hard, I've been constantly hungry this week , I think I'm going to have to increase what I'm. Eating slightly as I normally eat 1200 calories to maintain my weight but because of pregnancy I think I need a few extra calories

Anyone else want to join us?? :D

I'm not healthy I promise I have my moments of indulgment.
My tips are to eat as many colours as possible, make them as clean as possible I.e not processed and try stay away from beige coloured foods like warm delicious bread
I sautée my veg in water instead of oil, I guess it's not really sautéing but you get what I mean haha
I get my fats from avocados, nuts and hummus

Even to maintain your weight 1200 isn't much at all! Don't count just eat until you're full.. I'm goig away for the weekend so I'll be eating until I burst And it won't be clean

Hey girls

I'm in Stockholm until tomorrow and we've eaten so much at every meal time I'm incredibly bloated. Tonight we're having Asian food
