just wondering whether any1 has been to hospital with there child/dren because they have hurts them selves and got a letter and visit off there health visitor?
Sorry hun i haven't, but i do know a freind had a follow up after there LO hurt themself.
hope that helps as i don't really know why you asked, so can't help more
When we had a post-natal talk by our HV about first aid etc they said they automatically get sent a letter if your child makes a visit to hospital, and will contact you.
It's very normal don't worry
I didn't have a letter but when my daughter was 3 wks old I phoned NHS 24 for advice when I thought I had thrush (I breastfeed and it was thrush in my breasts). I was told to go to the hospital and then 24 hours after I had been I got a call from my HV asking me about my visit to the hospital!
Did your letter tell you that she knew why you had been to the hospital or just asking you why you had been? THinking back now, I volunteered the information as to why I went but actually it was none of her business as it's all patient confidentiality

yes i did. My daighter was 15 months old and id just had my second daughter and i was in a frazzel. She got hold of a pair of hair curlers that my friend had left on in my lounge and burned all the palm of her hand. Although i took her to the hospital i worked at i still got a letter from my health visitor. She wanted to come and check i was coping ok and that Emilys hand had healed.
Nothing to worry about. don't panic.
me and paul did. Paul had an accident when Jodie was just 7 weeks he dropped her. she was in her bouncer with the mobile across and he thought it was a handle. Lucky id was about half a foot of the ground. But even still we rang for the Ambulance. The health visitor came out and Made paul feel like a bag of shite bringing it up. She was fine. They tell the health visitor everything when you take your Red Book. Well thats what the health visitor told me.
