Has anyone else suffered with headaches through their pregnancy? Nothing quite as bad as a migraine but a headache enough to make you a bit sleepy and maybe a little queasy too..?

Yep! Have had a headache for about a week, not fun! I've been using the forehead stick, which has helped some xx

yes!! Im only 10 weeks but have had a LOT of headaches! Suffering today with one as well

At first I thought mine was just dehydration but I've upped my water intake by an extra glass or so a day and it hasn't done anything!!! Paracetamol rarely touches it and besides I don't really want to take too many tablets! I might get one of those forehead sticks if they help ease it a little :-) thanks Emma

Unfortunately yes. I asked my midwife about it and she said it is just a side effect to all the hormones and your body changing etc. All she said was paracetamol and increase fluids. As with you, no change for me. Sorry not much help but I really sympathise! xx

Yes, I had headaches with both my pregnancies, including a nice (not) non-stop one for 3 weeks in my second pregnancy from 12-15 weeks. The forehead cooling strips are really good.

I had terrible headaches from about week 13-16 or 17, I think. I could barely lift my head up some days. Midwife just said to drink more water, even though I was drinking a minimum of 3 litres a day. I didn't want to take paracetamol all day every day so I saved it for when I really needed or wanted to get up and do something.

I even took time off work for it because some days all I could do was lie still with my eyes shut. I put it down to the shift in hormones as it came just as my nausea went.

I can totally sympathise. I am a headache and migraine sufferer prior to pregnancy and I have been really suffering since falling pregnant. I was off for a whole week a few weeks ago as I had a week long agonising migraine.

I found paracetamol tablets did nothing. I have been using dispersible paracetamol and oh my....it is a dream come true!! I found something that works on the hardest of migraines!

Luckily, they seemed to have eased off and I am getting them just once a week now maybe even less.

xx

Oh no that's awful :( at least you found something that works!! :) mine haven't eased off. Every morning without fail I wake up with a terrible headache and it makes me feel queasy! I thought we were supposed to get over a lot of this in the 2nd tri?

I've had a headache for past 48 hours :-( I don't know about you guys though, but migraines really freak me out during pregnancy, because there is nothing that can be done. I hate being in such horrendous pain and the only advice you get given is to take paracetamol (which does nothing!) and drink. Well, if the pain makes you vomit, like it does for me, then you can't keep drinks in either. So I get freaked out by the lack of care you get with them and essentially have to 'put up' with it, which I find so frightening.

I'm suffering too, don't want to be taking paracetamol all the time but sometimes I just have to. I get so tired by the afternoon but when I'm in work & have to fight the urge to sleep it makes my head even worse. I've found a can of proper coke helps pick me up a bit but I hate having the same pain & drained feeling all the time.

Paracetamol seems to have just stopped working :( I've had a constant headache all this weekend and it hasn't subsided! Surely that can't be normal?

So glad I came across this thread, I am 10 weeks and for the past 3 days it feels like my head is going to explode.

I've just started to suffer with lots of headaches this past week or so. So far paracetamol seems to helps a bit. Hoping they don't get any worse! x

Argh, another morning means another massive headache and a bile run for good measure. I'm 16+5, I don't want the headaches and bile runs anymore!

The morning headaches seem to ease off for me during the week when I have to get up for work which I suppose is a good thing. But at the weekend when I want to do stuff for me I get them really bad and they make me physically sick :-( that's how I spent most of yesterday

And once again I'm suffering with a severe headache again today :( I'm drinking so much water just so I can at least rule out dehydration but I don't know what I can do any more. Paracetamol no longer works :(
