Head descending

Hi

I am currently 38 + 3 days pregnant and my babies head has been descended at a stage 1. Apparently there are 4 stages and 4 is when we are in labour. I have been at a 1 for the last 4 weeks. Does this mean that I still have a long time to wait before I go into labour? How quickly can it change?

I am scared about having a stillborn baby and do not want to run past 4 weeks.
